CATHERINE TAN CHII HANG

Catherine graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Business and Commerce and began her career in the corporate workforce, where she spent several years building professional experience. Her path into financial planning began after a 45-minute coffee chat with an experienced licensed financial planner — a conversation that sparked a turning point in how she viewed money and financial decision-making.

While she once believed she could manage her finances independently, Catherine soon realised there was much more to learn about building a well-structured financial plan. Motivated by this discovery, she saved up to pursue a career in financial planning so she could help both herself and others make better financial decisions.

Catherine was also the host of a personal finance podcast where she interviewed individuals from diverse backgrounds, including Dr Marina Mahathir, renowned author Azizi Ali, and financial educator KC Lau, discussing money and life decisions.

Now a mother and more than 7 years in financial planning industry, Catherine understands the importance of thoughtful family financial planning and avoiding common financial mistakes that can affect long-term stability. She mainly works with young professionals and parents, helping them bring clarity and structure to their financial decisions — without the overwhelm.
